Dota 2 Community Reacts to Endless Tiebreakers in WEU DPC

With only two Major slots left in the WEU DPC, Tundra Esports, OG and Entity were forced to play a best of one tiebreaker to determine who will be left out.

However, the tiebreakers ended up in a stalemate as all three teams were unable to win 2 matches after two consecutive series.

While a third set of tiebreakers is expected later today, here are some of the reactions from the Dota 2 community.

Following Entity’s victory over Nigma Galaxy a couple of days ago, the team joined The International (TI) winners OG and Tundra Esports in a three-way tiebreaker to determine the final two Western European (WEU) teams that will be representing the region for the upcoming Lima Major. However, nobody would have expected the tiebreakers to be endless as all three teams were unable to obtain more than one victory after two sets.

With the tiebreaker coming to a stalemate for now, here are some of the reactions from the Dota 2 community regarding the endless tiebreakers in the WEU Dota Pro Circuit (DPC).

A third set of tiebreakers will be played later today

After a brutal night of playing against each other to no avail, Tundra Esports along with Entity and OG are scheduled to play a third set of tiebreakers later today. Following the second series of tiebreakers the Dota 2 community gave their thoughts on social media.

Martin "Saksa" Sazdov

After playing two sets of tiebreakers, the TI11 (The International 2022) winner simply summarized his thoughts with a simple phrase.

Wu "Sneyking" Jingjun

On the other hand, Tundra Esports’ captain fully made his feelings about the endless tiebreakers well known by saying that it is unbearable.

David "MoonMeander" Tan

TSM’s former captain turned head coach MoonMeander was enjoying watching the endless WEU DPC tiebreakers. However, Sneyking responded to him by saying that it would not be fun for the TSM coach if he were to end up in the same situation.

Robson "TeaGuvnor" Merritt

One of the WEU DPC’s panelists, TeaGuvnor was also enjoying the tiebreakers by posting a meme about the results. Additionally, he also noted that he is looking forward to the third set of tiebreakers later today.

Nigma Galaxy

Following its victory against OG in the league, Nigma Galaxy was seen by many as the main reason why the endless tiebreakers happened in the first place. However, Nigma simply asked all the three teams involved how long would the tiebreakers keep on going.

While a third series of tiebreakers is expected to be played later today, the community might want to prepare accordingly should the tiebreakers become endless yet again.
