Magomed "Collapse" Khalilov recently talked about the current meta of the game, amongst other things, during an interview.
He noted that despite the increase of players playing long-range carry heroes, he stated that there are ways to counter the heroes.
He also noted that his team will be able to take on anyone if through preparation and concentration.

During a recent interview,  Team Spirit’s decorated offlaner Magomed "Collapse" Khalilov gave his thoughts on the current meta, amongst other things. Following the team’s arrival in Lima, Peru for the Major, Collapse along with Team Spirit was finalizing preparations for the Group Stage while also recovering from jet lag.

During the media day ahead of the Major, Collapse was pulled aside for an interview to talk about many things which included talking about himself and the team.

“Now the meta: you win a lane, go get a build, get a Roshan, and end the game.” - Collapse on current meta

During the interview, according to Dota2.ru, Collapse started off by talking about the current meta of the game. While many were critical on singling out Lina as the current meta, Collapse noted that the increase of players playing more ranged carry heroes became a primary reason for teams opting to play more of a higher tempo phase of Dota.

“I think so, [this meta will last until the end of the majors]. Right now all the ranged carries are speeding up the game. Right now it's a high tempo Dota and I don't believe that there will be any super late carries such as Faceless Void, Phantom Assassin, Phantom Lancer. Now the meta: you win a lane, go get a build, get a Roshan, and end the game. Not much seems to change.”

However, he then added on by saying that the current meta of ranged carries can be easily countered by picking heroes that are able to close the distance and deal massive damage in a single attack.

“All ranged carries are good heroes who buy Blink Dagger, Black King Bar, Skull Basher, and Assault Cuirass. Some Ursa or a similar hero like Marci. We were also thinking about the Wraith King.”

Finally, when asked about his thoughts on the groupings for the Lima Major group stage, Collapse noted his team will be able to take on anyone regardless of which ever group Team Spirit ultimately ends up in.

“Let's put it this way: those teams that are in Group B, we can handle. In Group A, too, all the teams we can handle if we approach the matches against them with proper preparation and concentration.”
