OG, playing with two stand-ins, has secured an upper bracket slot for the playoffs and has won its first series against Team Liquid.
Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf was present in Janne "Gorgc" Stefanovski's recent livestream and commented on who he wants to see in the grand finals of the Berlin Major.
According to ATF, his ideal grand final is between OG vs Aster, where both teams have his current teammates, Ivan "MinD_ContRoL" Ivanov and Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan.

The Berlin Major 2023 has been nothing short of thrilling, as top teams from around the world have battled it out for a chance at the coveted championship title. Among the standout performers thus far is OG, who demonstrated its resilience and skill by securing a top 2 finish in the group stage and earning a spot in the upper bracket of the playoffs. What makes the team’s performance even more remarkable is that it is playing with two stand-ins, Ivan "MinD_ContRoL" Ivanov from Nigma Galaxy and Kartik "Kitrak" Rathi from Old G, replacing Dmitry "DM" Dorokhin and Evgenii "Chu" Makarov, respectively, as they could not attend the event due to visa issues.

In the team’s first series against Team Liquid, considered one of the strongest teams in the world and a favorite to win the tournament, OG managed to secure a 2-1 victory. On the other hand, Aster, playing with a non-Chinese speaking stand-in in Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan, has also made it to the playoffs, but the team will be playing in the lower bracket. Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf, who currently plays on Nigma Galaxy alongside teammates MinD_ContRoL and SumaiL revealed who he wants to see in the grand finals of the Berlin Major.

ATF’s current teammates and ex-teammates in the grand finals

Amidst all the excitement, Ammar, an ex-OG player and currently playing for Nigma Galaxy, recently joined Gorgc on his livestream and expressed his desire to see OG and Aster in the grand finals of the Berlin Major 2023, with MindControl and SumaiL facing off against each other. "Let's go OG. I want OG and Aster Top 2," Ammar said.

Gorgc expressed his doubts about Aster's chances, but Ammar replied, "What do you mean? I know OG gonna win. I'm already telling you, it's OG vs Aster (in the finals). Sumail vs MindControl in the finals." he added.

It is evident that Ammar is supportive of both his former teammates and current teammates who are currently playing as stand-ins at the Berlin Major. As an ex-OG player and someone who is currently playing alongside MindControl and SumaiL, it is not surprising that Ammar wants to see OG and Aster in the grand finals of the tournament. His belief in OG's potential to win the tournament is encouraging, especially considering the team is playing with two stand-ins.

OG's next game will be on 3rd May against Gaimin Gladiators, and a win in the series will be crucial in determining their chances of making it to the grand finals, as Gaimin Gladiators is considered to be the best team in the world at the moment. On the other hand, Aster will be playing its first playoff game today in the lower bracket, starting at 18:00 PM SGT.
