Team Bald Reborn Adds Pieliedie Following 5up's Departure From the Roster

EU underdogs Team Bald Reborn (TBR) have undergone a roster change weeks before the EU TI10 Regional Qualifiers where they will compete for a single spot to this year’s International. TBR announced on Twitter that its position five player, Enis “5up” Elfki had departed from the team to participate in the upcoming NA TI10 Qualifiers with a currently unknown team. This announcement was shortly followed by another one where it announced that veteran player Johan “Pieliedie” Åström would be joining the roster ahead of the EU TI10 Qualifiers which begin on 7 July 2021. Team Bald Reborn has shown itself to be a capable team in the EU DPC Lower Division and has accumulated a lot of fans who will be eager to see their performance.

TBR played in the Lower Division of the EU regional DPC season where they finished in fourth place. The team had its ups and downs during the season starting with a series of losses. But they managed to pick up the pace and managed to get a few wins along the way to end with a 4-3 W-L score at the end of the season. They now start the TI10 EU qualifiers in the Lower Bracket.

Pieliedie has been in the Dota scene for almost a decade now and started out in Warcraft III much like other veteran professionals. He played for his first Dota 2 team, Kaipi, early in 2012 and has since played in teams like Cloud9 and Team Secret, with whom he won the Shanghai Major 2016. He most recently played in 5men in the EU Omega and Epic leagues until the team disbanded in November 2020 after which he remained inactive. 

Team Bald Reborn now consists of two of the biggest Dota 2 Twitch streamers, two rising pros in the scene, and the new veteran addition Pieliedie.

It will be interesting to see if this new addition will bring Team Bald Reborn together and if they will find the cohesion that they need to perform at a higher level.
