A week after the DPC season ended, players and players are preparing to arrive in Kyiv, Ukraine, for the AniMajor. Kyiv is no stranger to hosting tournaments and has done so many times in the past with the Kyiv Major in 2017, StarLadder Minors in 2019 and 2020, and the WePlay Tug of War: Mad Moon in 2020. WePlay has had a good reputation regarding their past Dota 2 events, and the fans are eager to experience even more of their quality production. WePlay has taken the initiative to greet arriving talents arriving in Kyiv at the airport and taking their predictions on the AniMajor. Here is what the talents had to say upon arriving for the Dota 2 Major.

WePlay takes predictions from talent arriving in Kyiv for the AniMajor

Cap and Kyle

The first people interviewed by WePlay on arrival were Andrew "Cap" Walsh and Kyle "Kyle" Freedman. They both forecasted Alliance as the team to win the Major and Cap even explained that EU was the "strongest region" where Alliance was regarded as the top team. Cap and Kyle both worked in the EU region during the DPC season.

Sheever and Fogged

Jorien "Sheever" van der Heijden and Ioannis “Fogged” Loucas were the next to arrive and share their thoughts in an interview. Sheever was hesitant to give predictions on  this Major given how things turned out in the last Major, where EU was heavily favored but did not  make it very far. Fogged, on the other hand, confidently stated that "China is going to win, it is the best region right now". Both Sheever and Fogged worked in the EU DPC season.

Teaguvnor

Robson “TeaGuvnor” Merritt arriving solo, jumped on the EU bandwagon and predicted that Team Liquid will take the Major and that “SEA looks a bit underwhelming.” TeaGuvnor was also part of the EU DPC season talent.

Tsunami and Lacoste

China DPC talents Neal “Tsunami” Khandheria and Dominik “Lacoste” Stipik arrived next, both of them seemed pretty excited and stated that China was the strongest region. The analysts predicted two Chinese teams would qualify for the top four in the AniMajor. While Tsunami predicted that Team Aster would win, Lacoste predicted then PSG.LGD would win.

SirActionSlacks

The latest arrival was none other than Jake "SirActionSlacks" Kanner himself, who offered a fresh perspective in saying that we should watch out for South America in the AniMajor, predicting that "BeastCoast will wipe the floor.” Being the entertainer he is, he took a pot shot at Tsunami's predictions regarding China, saying, "Shut up, Tsunami, with your Chinese predictions, it is WRONG! It’s South America, baby!”.

Ephey

Dota 2 streamer Ephey, who is making her debut as a talent in this event also made her predictions by stating that China was most likely going to take the win, but if there was one team that could beat them, it was Alliance.
