Team Assault Disqualified From the Lower Division of the SEA DPC League

Tournament operator PGL who is in charge of the SEA DPC League 2021 announced a change in the Southeast Asian DPC League Division II roster: Team Assault has been disqualified from the tournament due to account sharing.

The playing roster of Team Assault (atleast on paper) was:

  • keNness
  • Kayh
  • Gy
  • JoHnNy (Former Fnatic player, picture in the cover image)
  • rayy

Perhaps, this is the team Galvin "Meracle" Kang of Singapore and Adam "343' Shah of Malaysia were referring to when they talked about "suspicious teams" in the Dota Pro Circuit.

Assault's place in the DPC league has been taken by the Indonesian team, Army Geniuses. The Army Geniuses roster is comprised off:

  • Daud “db-” Budiawan
  • Tri “Mamang Daya” Daya Pamungkas
  • Syaid “woMy” M. Reski
  • Rifki “Lym-” Firdaus
  • Yukatheo “you_K” Glen

The final qualifiers for the first season of the Dota Pro Circuit concluded earlier yesterday, and the rosters for all of the regional leagues are now complete. Sixteen teams from each region will take part in the tournament - eight in the first division and eight in the second.

Earlier it was reported that the PGL will organize coverage only of the 1st division of the league (commentary on the games of the 2nd division will be "volunteer casters", who will not be financially compensated).
