CIS Dota 2 veteran Alexander "Flow" Sazonov has passed away. The former FlyToMoon offlaner reportedly passed away with cancer being the alleged cause of death. He was just 25 years old.

Flow was diagnosed with cancer in January 2018 when he was competing with Double Dimension. However, he successfully underwent treatment and was reportedly in remission. He battled the disease for two-and-a-half years, bravely continuing to compete in esports tournaments during this time period.

Unfortunately, in September 2020, cancer relapsed and on September 30, Flow passed away.

Flow’s Achievements in Dota 2

Flow began his professional Dota 2 career in the offlane role in Duza Gaming alongside players like ARS-ART and GeneRaL before going on to have a relatively successful career.

At his peak, Flow was a recognized offlaner in the CIS region playing for a number of teams like FlyToMoon, Vega Squadron, Elements Pro Gaming, and Double Dimension. His finest moments came in his final stint with FlyToMoon with whom he won the LOOT.BET/DOTA tournament and secured a 5th-6th place finish at DreamLeague Season 12.

Following his demise, the CIS community have expressed their condolences and their grief.

We offer our condolences to the family, friends, and fans of Flow.

May he rest in peace.
