B8 Esports’ offlaner player Oleg "LastHero" Demidovich who was arrested on Wednesday, during the peaceful protests against police brutality and the allegedly rigged elections in Belarus has been released from custody.
This is great news for the Dota 2 community who grew increasingly worried about the player after he was arrested by the police for the protests.
B8 Esports LastHero’s Timeline of Events
The Arrest:
On 12th August, LastHero was arrested during the peaceful protests against police brutality and the allegedly rigged elections in Belarus.

According to LastHero’s teammate, Dmitriy "Fishman" Polishchuk (who is also a Belarusian player), LastHero was sent to Zhodzina (a City in Belarus), where the temporary detention center is located.
The Player Could Not Be Traced:
B8 Esports later released a statement which revealed that the player could not be found and that they believed that he was in one of the Minsk Police Departments. B8 Esports also stated that it was coordinating with other Belarusian esports organizations and Police departments in the city of Minsk, to find information about LastHero’s whereabouts.

LastHero Was Released and Thanks His Fans
On 14th August 2020, 02:04 AM IST, B8 Esports revealed that LastHero was finally released and that he was safe.
Following this, LastHero posted a message on his Twitter for his fans thanking them for their support.
"Hi. Thanks everyone for all the support! I'm recovered emotionally but yet to recover physically! I'll tell about the situation that happened during these 3 loooong days in the most correct way later, stay tuned..."
Authorities in Belarus have stated that they have arrested more than 6,000 people during three nights of violently suppressed protests against police brutality and alleged vote-rigging in the country’s presidential election. Over 250 people were taken to hospitals.
