Following the departure of veteran player Samson Solomon Enojosa "Sam_H" Hidalgo, popular Filipino offlaner Carlo "Kuku" Palad stood in for Neon Esports as a stand-in, in today’s match against Execration at the OMEGA League: Asia Divine Division.

CIS analyst and RuHub commentator Rustam "Adekvat" Mavliutov commented on this matter by stating:

“SamH was tested at Neon and left. In his place today, Kuku played. Looks like the process has started. #SEAshuffles”

Kuku Stands In For Neon Esports

Kuku played in a competitive game for the first time since his recent victory at the ONE Esports Dota 2 SEA League. With him in the lineup, Neon Esports easily managed to secure a 2-0 victory over Execration in the group stages of the OMEGA League: Asia Divine Division.

It is unknown whether Kuku will play for Neon Esports in the upcoming matches. At the time of writing, Kuku is still officially a player of Geek Fam.

However, recently, rumors of his departure from the Geek Fam lineup emerged after the Filipino player was spotted being approached to negotiate his salary, in his stream on Facebook.

There have been no official statements about the transfer or loan of Kuku from the Geek Fam management or from the player. It is looking increasingly unlikely that Kuku might leave the Geek Fam lineup.

In recent months, Neon Esports has been undergoing a lot of roster shuffles to finalize their offlane after the departure of Rafael "Rapy" Sicat Palo. Veteran player Sam_H was brought in as a replacement. However, it was recently confirmed that the player had left the lineup.

Former GoodFellaz player Julius "JG" Galeon played as a stand-in in Neon Esports’ match against 496 Gaming.
