One of SEA’s most accomplished players, Michael "ninjaboogie" Ross Jr. is finally making his return to the scene after almost a year of absence. He will be joining Team Adroit temporarily to replace Bryle "cml" Alviso who will be taking a break. Jun "Bok" Kanehara will also be making his return to the roster after his break.

Adroit’s Announcement

  • Adroit announced that their stand-in, Prince Vince "Bensoy" Enriquez will be leaving the team since Bok is making his return to the lineup as their offlaner. Bok returns from a short break that began following his team’s fourth-place finish at ESL One Birmingham 2020 - Online: Southeast Asia.
  • They also announced that ninjaboogie will be joining the team temporarily as a standin to replace cml.
  • Support player cml will be taking a break from competitive action. However Adroit clarified that he will remain as a part of the team.
  • All of Adroit’s players have left the Bootcamp and will now compete from their respective homes.

Adroit’s Roster for the upcoming ONE Esports Dota 2 SEA League:

  • John Anthony "Natsumi-" Vargas
  • Mc Nicholson "Mac" Villanueva
  • Jun "Bok" Kanehara
  • Marvin "Boombacs" Rushton
  • Michael "ninjaboogie" Ross Jr.

ninjaboogie's return

ninjaboogie was previously supposed to stand-in for Adroit at the ESL One LA Major 2020. He even travelled to Los Angeles with the team to compete at this event. Unfortunately, he returned home without competing in a single game after the event was cancelled.

Although Adroit looked strong initially after the lockdown was announced (winning the WeSave! Charity Play 2020 and taking 2nd place at ESL One: Los Angeles 2020 Online) the team has steadily declined in later tournaments. Perhaps an addition of an experienced player could instigate the team to perform better in the upcoming ONE Esports Dota 2 SEA League.

When it comes to experience in SEA, who better than ninjaboogie? After all, ninjaboogie is one of the most experienced players in the SEA region. Earlier last year, he lead Mineski to an 8th place finish at The International 9 where they almost beat Team Secret in a thriller. He is also one of the very few SEA players to have won a DPC Major.

Although he competed in the ESL SEA Championship 2020 Open Qualifier #1 (with Mushi’s IO Dota2) and DreamLeague Season 13 SEA Open Qualifier (with MidOne’s SEAMonkeys) this is ninjaboogie’s much-awaited return to the centrefold of SEA Dota 2. Can he deliver?
