What an unbelievable run. Fnatic has won the Huya World E-sports Legendary League after a convincing 3-0 victory over Malaysian Dota 2 team Dota Hero in the Grand Finals. The team takes home $36,766 USD as prize winnings. The team has now won 5 Championships in a row, namely:

  • ESL One Los Angeles 2020 - Online: Southeast Asia
  • BTS Pro Series: Southeast Asia
  • ESL One Birmingham 2020 - Online: Southeast Asia
  • Huya World E-sports Legendary League

The team did not lose a single game during the playoffs phase of the tournament. A testament to their dominance.

Fnatic's Road to Victory

Group Stage:

Fnatic had a fairly dominant run during the group stages of the tournament. They topped their group after winning 3 games (against Aster.Aries, CLcombat Team and LGD.Int) and tieing two matches (against Neon Esports and Reality Rift).

Playoffs:

They opened up their account in the playoffs with a convincing 2-0 victory over Team Sirius (featuring old chicken and ASD in their lineup).

They followed it up with a dominant 2-0 victory over Dota Hero in the winner bracket finals. The Grand Finals saw a rematch between those same two teams. Fnatic had Dota Hero's number once again as they just rolled through the Malaysian lineup to claim a quick 3-0 victory.

Fnatic is currently competing in the BTS Pro Series Season 2: Southeast Asia and will then compete in the upcoming ONE Esports Dota 2 SEA League.
