Geek Fam Eliminates Team Adroit from ESL One Birmingham 2020 Online: SEA

• Geek Fam Beat Team Adroit 2-1 in the lower brackets of the playoffs.
• They will now face BOOM Esports in the Lower Bracket Finals.
• The winner of that match will face Fnatic in the Grand Finals.

The Filipino hopefuls, Team Adroit have dropped out of the ESL One Birmingham 2020 Online: SEA after a devastating 2-1 loss to Geek Fam in the playoffs. The team will be quite disappointed with this loss considering the fact that they had just managed to secure a 2nd place finish in the previous ESL One Online tournament.

Geek Fam vs Adroit

Game 1: The first game saw Geek Fam absolutely roll through the Adroit lineup with their farmed Raven Lycan securing them and easy 28-minute victory. Adroit’s carry Morphling was underfarmed after a great laning phase from Kuku’s Venomancer completely shut down Natsumi. Not even their Earthshaker-Morphling combo was enough to overwhelm Geek Fam.

Game 2: Adroit came right back up in Game 2 choosing to pick up a Lone Druid and only focussed on objectives allowing them to claim Mega creeps right before Geek Fam’s carry Morphling truly was online. Geek Fam simply couldn’t compete against the net-worth disparity.

Game 3: The final game of the series saw Karl absolutely take off on his Ember Spirit as he helped snowball his team to a clean victory in the third game securing a spot in the Lower Bracket Finals.

Geek Fam will now compete against BOOM Esports for a spot in the Grand Finals against Fnatic.
