JerAx’s Gaming Chair Auctioned! Raises More Money than Autographed Rooney, Messi Jerseys
  • JerAx recently auctioned off his Gaming Chair and raised €5,300 for the Save the Children Charity.
  • It raised more money than the jerseys of football players Messi and Rooney which raised € 2,300 and €4,500 respectively.

Two time TI winning, Finnish Dota 2 player Jesse "JerAx" Vainikka recently auctioned off his old gaming chair (with Team Liquid's logo on it) by collaborating with Valavuori Live (a Finnish talkshow on Twitch).

The chair was sold for €5,300. The money raised was donated to the ‘Save the Children’ charity.

Auctioned off for more than Messi’s Jersey and Wayne Rooney’s Jersey

One of the biggest shocks was the fact that the gaming chair was sold at a higher price than Wayne Rooney’s signed Manchester United Jersey, which was auctioned off at the same time in a bid to raise money for the same charity. Rooney’s jersey only raised €4,500.

Even more surprising was the fact that Lionel Messi’s signed FC Barcelona Jersey was auctioned off by the same seller for just €2,300.

While it is understandable, considering the fact that an unsigned Gaming Chair would cost more money than an unsigned Jersey, It is still surprising to see a Dota 2 Pro’s gaming chair raising more money than internationally recognized football players.

Perhaps we shouldn’t be that surprised though. After all, gaming chairs automatically give you a +1000 boost in MMR, let alone a TI winning champion’s chair. What does a jersey give you?
