Team Secret captain, Clement 'Puppey' Ivanov is bringing back the Faceit Player League for Dota players. FACEIT is one of the primary platforms for high-level matchmaking and in the past has provided some wholesome entertainment for fans who get to see top pro players playing against each other in mixed teams.
More importantly, the Dota 2 ecosystem has it's roots in the in-house leagues and Dota 2 as an esport can be traced back to such networks. While the Dota 2 matchmaking is mostly used by players, in the past, FACEIT Leagues have had quite a bit of success. These leagues were quite common in the player breaks, but recently player breaks have been few and far between. The current COVID-19 situation has created a unique opportunity wherein most tournaments have been either cancelled or delayed and players are playing more pub games.
