After Peter "PPD" Dager’s surprising retirement earlier yesterday, multiple people including fans, fellow pro players and personalities thanked PPD and acknowledged the impact he has had on the Dota 2 scene over the years.
One of the first to do so was PPD’s former teammate, Evil Geniuses’ carry Artour "Arteezy" Babaev. He replied to his former captain’s tweet stating:
Later, on his stream, Arteezy continued to talk about his former captain and hinted that he believed that PPD will not return to competitive Dota 2.
“It is pretty sad actually. To me, PPD seems like a man of his word so I don’t think it is a light thing for him to say that he is going to retire.“
Several other players including NiP teammate Rodrigo "Lelis" Santos and Nikola "LeBronDota" Popovi? also paid tribute to PPD in his retirement post.
