While the tournament may have been pushed back to November 2020, the spots for the ONE Esports Dota 2 Invitational Jakarta are still very coveted considering the $500,000 prize pool. It probably also means a lot more to BOOM Esports considering the fact that the team will get a chance to play in front of their home crowd if they managed to win it.
To the delight of Indonesian fans, BOOM Esports will be competing in the tournament after all, as they managed to win the Indonesian Qualifier beating out teams like T1 and Team Oracle.
The Indonesian team were clearly a step above the rest of the teams competing in the qualifier justifying their direct invite to the qualifier. They didn’t drop a single game across the entire qualifier, winning 6 games in a row to book their spot in the main event.

Even the Grand Finals was quite one-sided as BOOM Esports managed to close out the series in just over an hour.
The ONE Esports Dota 2 Jakarta Invitational was scheduled to be held on April 18-19. However, it has now been postponed to November 2020 due to Coronavirus fears. The tournament has now been merged with the Dota 2 Invitational Indonesia.
