In the first shocking roster change of the season, Syed Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan has left his team Quincy Crew after securing qualification to the first Minor of the season: The Summit 11.

The team’s manager, Jack "KBBQ" Chen confirmed this roster change on Twitter earlier today.

Sumail left Evil Geniuses after playing with them for over 3 years, earlier this season. His new team Quincy Crew was touted to be one of the strongest teams in NA on paper. However, SumaiL and co. failed to qualify for the MDL: Chengdu Major after a disappointing performance in the qualifier. Perhaps this instigated this roster change.

After SumaiL’s departure, it looks like Yawar "YawaR" Hassan will move to the carry role while the search for an offlaner resumes. So Quincy Crew’s roster for the Minor will be:

  • Yawar ‘YawaR’ Hassan

  • Quinn ‘CCnC’ Callahan

  • ???????

  • Arif ‘MSS’ Anwar

  • Avery ‘SVG’ Silverman
