A tweet by Vitalii ‘v1lat’ Volochai, has revealed that the defending champions OG, have hired former Astralis sports psychologist, Mia Stellberg for TI 9.
Mia Stellberg is a licensed psychologist with a long history of working with athletes in Olympics as well as in esports. She is best known for working with Astralis back in 2016 where she played a huge part in the Danish team's journey towards winning the ELEAGUE Major: Atlanta 2017.
Since then she has been associated with other top esport teams like SK Gaming, ENCE and now OG. Her addition to every team's coaching staff has brought forth great results till now for the organization and it seems to be workout for the Dota 2 squad as well.
Coming into the event as a highly unlikely team to win TI 9 due to their poor run in the 2018-19 DPC season. OG has had a phenomenal run in the group stage, winding up at the top of their group with 14 wins to their name and just 2 losses.
They have scored themselves a place in the upper bracket and are en route to faceoff against Newbee day-after-tomorrow on 21st August.
It will be interesting to see how OG performs in their first match of the playoffs, as it can set or break their momentum in their journey to claim their second TI victory.
