The highly anticipated Turkish CS:GO super team has finally been announced as Eternal Fire, which is a new player-founded organization. What started out as Özgür "woxic" Eker's project to create a Turkish lineup that would best represent the country at a global stage, has finally taken shape after more than a month of the initial announcement being made. A last moment surprise addition to the team was also noticed, as Issa "ISSAA" Murad returned to competitive CS:GO after more than five months. With this, all the speculations and rumours surrounding the Turkish super team has come to an end, as the team finally comes together to start their competitive journey.
Eternal Fire announced as the Turkish CS:GO super team
The Turkish team had started out by looking for an organization to pick them up, but a month later the players have decided to step up and create an organization on their own. The Eternal Fire lineup consists of the following players,
Özgür "woxic" Eker - AWPer
Ismailcan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş - IGL
Buğra "Calyx" Arkın - Rifler / Support
Ömer "imoRR" Karataş - Rifler / Entry Fragger
Issa "ISSAA" Murad - Rifler / Lurker
Timur "bishop" Şengül - Coach
Woxic was the mastermind behind this lineup after his journey with North American esports organization, Cloud9 came to an abrupt ending. With Eternal Fire, he will be returning to competing once again after more than seven months.
XANTARES, following his departure from BIG's active lineup after IEM Cologne 2021, was already setup to lead this Turkish super team. ImoRR too made his way from Sangal Esports, while ISSAA joined this lineup straight from OG's bench.
Calyx, following his trial with Robin "flusha" Rönnquist's makeshift team GORILLAZ, took a good three-month break and is now returning with Eternal Fire.
It has been reported by HLTV that the team's preferred mode of communication is going to be Turkish by default, but for the time being they will be using English as their method of communication, as ISSAA continues to take his Turkish lessons and prepares to join the team.
For now, Eternal Fire has not officially announced anything about their future plans or when we will get to see them in action, playing competitively against some of the other top teams.
