The Skyesports Championship 5.0 is one of the biggest esports tournaments in India. The event will have teams competing in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) for a huge prize pool over several days. Teams from various regions will compete in the open qualifiers to secure a spot in the finals of the CS2 event.
Skyesports Championship 5.0 CS2 event detailed
The Skyesports Championship 5.0 Counter Strike 2 (CS2) qualifiers have started with some of the teams securing their place in the finals. The prize pool of the event will be $100,000 USD which will be distributed among the teams placed first, second, third and fourth. The event also features a sum of money for the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament. The event’s finals will take place in Mumbai from 1st to 3rd December.
Teams qualified for the CS2 tournament:
OG (Directly invited).
Aurora Esports (EU Qualifiers).
Third Team (UAE Qualifiers).
Fourth Team (India Qualifiers).
OG is the only team that has been directly invited to the event. The remaining three will have to qualify through various qualifying events. Aurora Esports qualified from the EU Qualifiers after some intense games against Navi Junior, Team SoloMid (TSM) and B8. The third team will be decided through the UAE Qualifiers which will take place from 16th to 19th November and the fourth team will be decided on the basis of India Qualifiers which will take place from 17th to 22nd November.
The prize pool for the event is a massive $100,000 USD. This is the prize pool distribution among the teams:
Winner - $50,000 USD.
2nd Place - $30,000 USD.
3rd Place - $13,000 USD.
4th Place - $6,000 USD.
MVP - $1,000 USD.
Where to watch Skyesports Championship 5.0?
The Skyesports Championship 5.0 event will be live streamed exclusively on Loco. The event will be live streamed in multiple languages including English, Hindi and Tamil.
The CS2 finals will be a LAN event in Mumbai and fans will have free entry to the event. Further details of the LAN event will be revealed soon. Fans can witness some of the best CS2 teams from around the world at the Skyesports Championship 5.0.
