Corinthians, popular Brazilian football club has announced that it is looking to enter competitive CS:GO.
This is the second time that the football club has revealed its plan of entering the CS:GO competitive circuit.
For now, there is no information about which CS:GO players might join the team or any other information related to it.

Brazil has already proven itself to be one of the biggest and most passionate regions in the world when it comes to competitive CS:GO, with multiple organizations from the region now looking to enter the cutthroat circuit.

Most recently, the popular regional football club 'Corinthians Paulista' based in Sao Paulo made a public announcement that it was looking to enter CS:GO esports.

Not a lot of information was provided along with this announcement, which seemed to be more of a hype post with the purpose of creating buzz within the local scene about what is to come in the future.

Corinthians, Brazilian football club announces that it looks to enter competitive CS:GO

Just two weeks ago reports had surfaced about one of the biggest Free Fire organizations from Brazil, Fluxo, eagerly looking to enter CS:GO having allegedly roped in players like Adriano "WOOD7" Cerato and João "felps" Vasconcellos.

Now the popular Brazilian football club, Corinthians, is in the news following its announcement about it looking to enter CS:GO. No players have been announced and no other news has surfaced with regards to who all may join its upcoming team, but it has managed to create quite the buzz in the community.

Corinthians already has a presence in esports with its Free Fire division and even this announcement was made through the official 'Corinthians Free Fire' Twitter account. This means that it is not completely alien to the concept and even has multiple dedicated management companies take care of all its esports affairs.

In fact, this is the second time this year that the football club has announced its decision to enter competitive CS:GO. The former esports coordinator in an interview with Dust2 Brazil expressed in May that a company was indeed interested in sponsoring their project related to the game.

Since then the esports management team for the football club has been changed from Nomad to discussing terms with CDS, as reported by Globo Esporte. However, Corinthians' decision to field a team in CS:GO and compete there remains undeterred.

It will be great to see how this project develops and which players make their way over to the club given its reach and reputation. It will likely start by competing in regional tournaments and slowly make its way to the international stage.
