The 'New Champions Stage' or 'Playoffs Stage' for the Antwerp Major will be taking place in front of a live audience at the Antwerps Sportpaleis arena.

PGL is all set to host its second CS:GO Major in a row and the first such tournament of 2022, PGL CS:GO MAJOR ANTWERP 2022. The first of the two world championships is scheduled to take place from 9th to 22nd May, featuring a total prize pool of $1 Million USD.

This will be the first time that Belgium will be hosting a CS:GO Major, in the port city of Antwerp. The Playoffs stage of the tournament will be played in front of a live audience, taking place in the Antwerps Sportpaleis arena which has a maximum seating capacity of almost 24,000 spectators.

Belgium's second largest city, Antwerp, will be the fifth consecutive European location that will be hosting a CS:GO Major after Stockholm, Berlin, Katowice, and London. With a second tournament similar in stature reportedly taking place in Rio de Janeiro, it seems North America might have to wait until 2023 to guarantee a Major on its soil.
