Ninjas in Pyjamas Announce European Female CS:GO Team
NIP aims to empower under-represented players with this move.
Ninjas In Pyjamas (NIP) has taken a huge step by announcing a new female CS:GO roster which consists of players from different regions in Europe. The lineup assembled is fairly young with the average age being 22.8 years and it is all set to debut in the upcoming female CS:GO league - ESL Impact Season 2.
This roster will be captained by Tilde "7licious" Byström from Sweden, who makes her way into the team over from Copenhagen Flames Female, and also brings along her Finnish teammate Jennica "jenkon" Sjögren.
They are further joined by the former GODSENT Female trio - Thea "pullox" Evensen, Marita "Minnie" Siljan Sørensen, and Mayline-Joy "ASTRA" Champliaud, the first two hailing from Norway while the third comes from France.

The Swedish esports organization, NIP, has announced a new women's CS:GO roster from Europe with an aim to compete in the upcoming ESL Impact Season 2, scheduled to take place from 8th September to 23rd October.
"We've been working on taking clear steps to empower under-represented groups in esports for a while now and today we’re proud to finally reveal our ESL Impact lineup! We brought together Swedish, Norwegian, and French ninjas to forge a deadly team that is here to click heads, win trophies, and make their mark on competitive CS:GO," read a statement from NIP as part of its official announcement.
The first two tournaments under the ESL Impact League - ESL Impact Valencia 2022 and ESL Impact League Season 1 have been dominated by Nigma Galaxy Female who compete through the European Division.
This could be a great challenge for the NIP roster as only two slots are available for European teams at the ESL Impact League Season 2 - Main Tournament which will be taking place from 25th to 27th November at Jönköping, Sweden.
"I feel like we complete each other perfectly both in-game and IRL, which makes my work as an IGL much easier. I'm super proud to be a part of this lineup and I can assure you that with some time we will show the world what we can do," says 7licious, adding that "NIP has always been close to my heart and to have the opportunity to play under such a legendary organization is just a dream come true, but the job is not done yet."
