Natus Vincere (NAVI) along with members of its CS:GO team, s1mple and B1ad3, have all been nominated under different categories at The Game Awards 2021.
NAVI for 'Best Esports Team', s1mple for 'Best Esports Athlete', and B1ad3 for 'Best Esports Coach'.
NAVI has won both, the IGS Season 3 and the Stockholm Major this year, while s1mple has won a total of six MVP awards so far in 2021.

Natus Vincere (NAVI) has struck a home run when it comes to the 2021 competitive CS:GO circuit. The Ukrainian esports organization has gone on to win both the Intel Grand Slam (IGS) Season 3 and the PGL Major Stockholm 2021 in the same year. They have achieved all this with a rookie as part of their lineup, Valerii "b1t" Vakhovskyi, who is playing his first-ever season as a top-tier professional CS:GO player.

Their achievements have not gone unnoticed, as NAVI along with Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev and Andrei "B1ad3" Horodenskyi, have all been nominated in different esports categories at The Game Awards 2021.

The Game Awards 2021: NAVI, B1ad3, s1mple nominated under different esports categories

The star player of NAVI's CS:GO roster and one of the best players to have ever played the game, s1mple, has proven why he is the absolute GOAT (greatest of all time) of Counter-Strike this year, in 2021.

  • S1mple along with his team has gone on to win the last three top-tier LAN CS:GO tournaments - PGL Major Stockholm 2021, IEM Cologne 2021, and IEM Katowice 2020. Along the way NAVI also won the IGS Season 3, becoming only the third CS:GO team to have ever won it.

  • He was declared the MVP (most valuable player) of the Stockholm Major, where NAVI made history by becoming the first-ever CS:GO team to win a Major without dropping a single map.

  • In total, s1mple has won six MVP titles in 2021 so far. This makes him the second most individually decorated CS:GO player behind Nicolai "dev1ce" Reedtz.

MVP of ESL Pro League Season 14 - s1mple
  • He is currently the highest-rated player across six of the seven CS:GO maps in 2021 against the top 20 teams.

    Dust2 - 1.34

    Nuke - 1.42

    Overpass - 1.32

    Ancient - 1.31

    Mirage - 1.29

    Inferno - 1.31

All this, has resulted in his nomination under the category of 'Best Esports Athlete' at The Games Awards 2021. Other esports players that have been nominated under the same category are,

  • Chris “Simp” Lehr

  • Heo “ShowMaker” Su

  • Magomed “Collapse” Khalilov

  • Tyson “TenZ” Ngo

Apart from s1mple, even the head coach of NAVI's CS:GO team - B1ad3, has been nominated at The Games Awards 2021 under the category of 'Best Esports Coach'.

B1ad3 has done a lot for the side behind the scenes and outside the server. He is one of the main reasons that NAVI has grown as a team which does not heavily depend on just s1mple anymore.

Other esports coaches that have been nominated under the same category are,

  • Airat "Silent" Gaziev

  • Andrey "Engh" Sholokhov

  • James "Crowder" Crowder

  • Kim "kkOma" Jeong-gyun

With the players and their coach hitting all the right notes, the organization is bound to exceedingly prosper as well. So naturally Natus Vincere has also been nominated under the category of 'Best Esports Team' at The Games Awards 2021.

Other esports teams that have been nominated under the same category are,

  • Atlanta FaZe - COD

  • DWG KIA - LOL

  • Sentinels - Valorant

  • Team Spirit - Dota 2

Earlier, NAVI was highly nominated at the Esports Awards 2021 as well and now they have done the same at The Games Awards 2021. It will be interesting to see how many of the categories they end up winning from here on out!
