Liquid, GODSENT, Complexity Reach Top 16 at NA RMR Open Qualifier 1
The first open qualifier of the North America RMR is currently underway!

The first open qualifiers of the North American RMR (Regional Major Rankings) is currently underway. Through this qualifier, four teams will make their way to the Americas RMR which is scheduled to take place from 11th to 14th April, providing six teams with a chance to further qualify for the PGL Major Antwerp 2022.
Team Liquid, GODSENT, Complexity Gaming, paiN Gaming, Bad News Bears, Mythic, ATK, and nine other teams are still in contention for the four spots available through the Americas RMR. Unfortunately, Evil Geniuses will have to wait for the second open qualifiers in order to qualify as it suffered an unexpected loss against Strife Esports, which resulted in them getting knocked out in the ‘Round of 32’.
The CS:GO community was not at all surprised by this loss as the organization has been highly inconsistent in recent times. However, the form shown by the favorites Team Liquid in the qualifier has been nothing short of absolutely impressive.
NA RMR Open Qualifier 1: Liquid, Complexity, GODSENT makes it into the top 16 while EG fails to qualify
Team Liquid with its revamped CS:GO roster for the 2022 competitive season has not been able to achieve a lot of success so far. They failed to qualify for the BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022 which was then followed by an early exit from IEM Katowice 2022.
Despite the drawbacks, Liquid is still one of the top teams from North America and they have lived up to the reputation so far in the first open qualifiers of the North American RMR. Both Jonathan “EliGE“ Jablonowski and Keith “NAF“ Markovic have had a fantastic qualifier so far, putting up extraordinary individual performances that have resulted in Liquid dominating its opposition.

Complexity Gaming with its new roster is also looking in top shape, not facing any difficulties so far in the qualifier. GODSENT with its Brazilian lineup did face a tight match against Gaimin Gladiators on Ancient, but managed to achieve a close ‘16-13’ victory. GODSENT shall now face DotMax Gaming in the ‘Round of 16’.
Unfortunately one of the top CS:GO teams from the region, Evil Geniuses, will not be in a celebratory mood after having faced a tough ‘16-14’ loss to Strife Esports, who recently won the Fragadelpia 16. This is not the end for EG as it still has one last chance to make it to the PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR through the second open qualifier which is scheduled to take place from 12th to 13th March.
For now, PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR - North American Open Qualifier #1 will continue ahead starting with the ‘Round of 16’ as the top four teams make their way through to the American RMR.
