K0nfig making moves while away from the game!
The Danish rifler, who can dominate with an AWP as well, Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke is all set to join Astralis following the end of his contract with Complexity Gaming, according to a report by Jaxon. The 24-year-old is currently recovering from a wrist injury due to which he has already skipped both ESL Pro League Season 14 and BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2021.
His current contract with Complexity is bound to expire on 1st January 2022 and as per reports k0nfig is not keen on renewing it. He will be out of action for some more weeks as he undergoes rehabilitation for his wrist, which is in a much better condition following the surgery.
Astralis might be close on signing k0nfig
Astralis have been going through a rough patch ever since the start of the 2021 competitive circuit. Things only got worse for the organization as their star player Nicolai "dev1ce" Reedtz signed a three year contract with Ninjas in Pyjamas.
This was followed by news about three players - Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen, Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth, Emil "Magisk" Reif, as well as their coach Danny "zonic" Sørensen's current contracts expiring at the end of the calendar year.
While zonic and Xyp9x have expressed being open to any opportunity that comes their way, Magisk and dupreeh have remained tight lipped about their future. Meanwhile Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander has gone ahead and signed a new three-year contract with Astralis, securing his stay with the organization that has now confirmed three players for their future lineup including Philip "Lucky" Ewald and Lucas "Bubzkji" Andersen.
As a part of this ongoing reshuffle, Astralis seems to have their eyes set on the talented k0nfig who is the backbone of Complexity. The talented player is sure to add more firepower to the Danish side who will be lacking on experience as multiple long-standing members might depart.
K0nfig is currently recovering from his wrist injury for which he had undergone a surgery. He is doing well for now, as his injury has healed quite rapidly, allowing him to move his wrist slightly without any pain. Now all that is left for him is to undergo rehabilitation before popping back onto the scene.
