The ongoing IEM Katowice 2022 is the first big CS:GO tournament of the ongoing competitive season with 24 teams participating in the event. It has been divided into three stages - Play-In, Group Stage, and Playoffs, scheduled to take place from 15th to 27th February with a total prize pool of $1,000,000 USD (INR 7,50,09,600).
While the entire tournament is being played in a LAN setup, only the Playoffs will be taking place at the Spodek Arena in Katowice, Poland. It will be held in front of a live audience with the top six teams getting a chance to play on the big stage.

The eight qualifying teams from the Play-In Stage will join eight other directly invited teams in the Group Stage. The 16 teams will be divided into two groups of eight teams each, with three teams from each group qualifying ahead into the Playoffs.
