Game Breaking Teleport Bug Found In CS:GO

Highlights
A game-breaking CS:GO bug has been discovered that allows players to teleport to a certain location on the map outside the designated spawn zone.
A player generally triggers this exploit by disconnecting and reconnecting to a server, however, when the bug triggers other players on the map can hear a water splash sound cue.
There is a single location on every map where both T and CT-side player can spawn if this Teleport Bug or Spawn Exploit is used.

A new critical exploit has been discovered in CS:GO through which players can teleport across a map before a round starts. The game-breaking bug allows players to spawn in certain fixed locations across all defuse maps in the game.

Clips of certain T and CT-sided players spawning in random locations before the round began, started going viral across the community a few days ago. Clearly, there was a lot of curiosity and panic as majority of the players did not know what was going on.

The players abusing this bug were getting a huge advantage as they beat the opposition to certain objectives, caught them rotating unexpectedly, and passed valuable information to their teammates very early into the round.

While the bug has not been fixed so far, popular YouTuber and community figure 3kliksphilip's has given a lot of valuable information related to this exploit.

Critical bug spotted in CS:GO that allows players to teleport around the map

CS:GO can never go too long without players finding another game-breaking exploit or bug to abuse. This time a spawn exploit has been found that allows players to teleport to a fixed spawn point on the map giving themselves a huge and unfair advantage over their opponents.

Many players have since posted clips about random players on their team spawning outside the designated T or CT area, being a nuisance to the entire community and spoiling games.

Well, luckily there is a distinct and clear way to spot when a player has abused this teleport bug. While you can't stop the abuser from implementing the exploit, just knowing when the bug has been activated acts as an early warning system.

How does the Teleport Bug or Spawn Exploit work?

Though information surrounding this exploit is limited or scarce, an abuser generally triggers it by disconnecting and reconnecting to a server while spamming a button, but not too many times, and then automatically spawns outside the authorized T and CT zone.

How to know when the Teleport Bug or Spawn Exploit has been used?

The abuser upon spawning outside the authorized zone on the map will produce a loud water splash sound, this audio indicator is a cue that the teleport bug or spawn exploit has been successful. Every player on the map will be hearing this audio, giving them the heads-up that a CT or T player might be out of position.

According to 3kliksphilip, this bug is similar to the one that some CS:GO coaches were exploiting a few years ago. This is because the players are teleporting to the same places from where the coaches were viewing the maps.

All spawn locations across different maps where players abusing this exploit shall spawn

Another thing about this teleport bug or spawn exploit is that players will be spawning at a pre-fixed position on different maps every time they abuse it. So their movement outside the designated spawn area is constant and does not change, which is sort of a relief.

Here are the exploit spawn point across the different defuse maps,

  • Ancient: Above T-Spawn but outside the map.

  • Cache: Teleports to a wingman spawn point, a bit ahead of the T-Spawn.

  • Dust 2: Teleports inside T-Spawn.

  • Inferno: Spawns in B-Site on top of a pillar, but a player might get stuck too on top of a post.

  • Mirage: Spawns a player on top-mid, in the middle of both the sites.

  • Nuke: Spawns a player outside the map but they can still participate in the action from this spot.

  • Overpass: Spawns the player inside an invisible wall overlooking the connector between A and B-Site.

  • Train: Spawns the player deep within the A-Site.

  • Vertigo: Spawns the player just outside of T-Spawn.

The community is hoping that Valve takes notice of this issue at the earliest and resolves it as soon as possible, so that the most played CS:GO map, Mirage, can be queued once again by majority of the player base without worrying about that mid spawn exploit.
