Reports have surfaced that G2 Esports might replace both Aleksib and XTQZZZ on its CS:GO roster.
They had joined G2 Esports about six months ago in January earlier this year.
While Aleksib has not made any comments on the report, XTQZZZ has come forward to call it fake news.

G2 Esports failed to qualify for the playoffs stage of the ongoing IEM Cologne 2022, forcing the Spanish esports organization to reevaluate its position in CS:GO heading into the summer break.

The CEO of G2 Esports - Carlos "ocelote" Rodríguez, right after the team's elimination stated that he has a lot of thinking to do, "It feels like crap to have the CS:GO summer holiday start when we most suck."

This was followed by reports surfacing that G2 was now considering replacing both Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen (IGL) and Rémy "XTQZZZ" Quoniam (Coach), according to Blix.

Though G2 Esports and Aleksib have remained tight lipped on these speculations, XTQZZZ came forward with a response by sharing a GIF that read 'FAKE NEWS!!!', causing quite the commotion across the community.

Report: G2 Esports might replace Aleksib and XTQZZZ from its CS:GO roster

G2 Esports has not had a great 2022 competitive season so far. The organization has struggled despite possessing ample firepower and making big changes in January ahead of the competition.

Except for a runners-up finish at the IEM Katowice 2022, it has been a downhill journey for G2 who failed to even make it to the playoffs of ESL Pro League Season 15, PGL Antwerp Major 2022, and IEM Cologne 2022.

With the fans starting to point out the chinks in its armor and ocelote having to do some serious thinking himself, reports have come forward claiming that G2 might replace its captain and coach going into the summer player break.

Both Aleksib and XTQZZZ have been around for almost six months on G2 Esports. The former being brought in following a swap with OG as Nemanja "nexa" Isaković was transferred over to the Danish esports organization, while the latter made his way over from Team Vitality.

Aleksib has not responded to these rumors, staying completely tight lipped on the matter. On the other hand, XTQZZZ has called out the speculations as being nothing but fake news.

Popular French CS:GO streamer, Sebastien "KRL" Perez, also claimed that he received a personal response from XTQZZZ where the French coach had allegedly said that "I am in as much danger as ZywOo (Mathieu Herbaut) at Vitality."

No official statement on the matter has come forward from any of the parties involved, but the thing we all know for sure is that G2 is struggling despite having some of the best players in the world.
