FURIA's CS:GO coach, guerri gets praised by teams and players for staying committed to his role as a player and giving his best.
FURIA were forced to play with guerri after ESL denied them the permission to replace honda with drop, right before the start of the tournament.
FURIA had a chance to qualify for the playoffs, but an overtime loss to Team Liquid resulted in an elimination from ESL Pro League Season 14.

The Brazilian esports organization, FURIA put on quite the show at ESL Pro League Season 14 despite playing with an incomplete lineup. The team's coach, Nicholas "guerri" Nogueira was playing as a substitute for the side, after ESL denied the addition of André “drop” Abreu to FURIA's roster as a stand-in following Lucas “honda” Cano's unavailability for the tournament.

The handicap did not seem to have affected the team's morale as they went on to deliver one hell of a performance during the group stage. Almost managing to make their way into the playoffs, if not for the overtime loss against Team Liquid.

Multiple players and teams came forward to recognize the brilliant effort made by the team, especially guerri who committed to his role as a player by giving his best.

Guerri was committed to performing for FURIA and though he could not offer much, his resilience to give his best without getting disheartened won over the CS:GO community, including teams and players.

When one of the best Counter-Strike players in the world commends you, it means that you are doing something right. Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev was one of the first to notice guerri's passion for the game, something that the coach and the Brazilian community really liked.

FaZe Clan's captain, Finn "karrigan" Andersen also came forward to appreciate guerri, but unfortunately his sarcasm was a bit too dry and straight forward for some community members. The Brazilian coach however caught the tone well as he responded by requesting a hug from the Dane.

NIP was on the verge of elimination from ESL Pro League Season 14 yesterday. However, Team Liquid's valiant fight back against FURIA from a '11-15' deficit on the last map, taking it to overtime and then winning it '19-17' ensured their survival.

Despite the loss, the organization came forward to recognize FURIA's effort of having given such a tough competition despite an incomplete lineup.

Despite not having made it to the playoffs of ESL Pro League Season 14, Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato did not seem to be all that upset, as he thanked all the fans for their support while calling guerri their "secret weapon".

KSCERATO on Guerri's performance

This tournament was supposed to be honda's last tournament with FURIA. It will be interesting to see how drop gels with this lineup in their next outing as guerri will be returning to what he does best, coaching this time from the backlines.
