Highlights
It seems Evil Geniuses (EG) is reportedly looking to bench both Stewie2K and RUSH from its main CS:GO roster.
The report additionally states that EG is deciding between neaLaN and HooXi as potential candidates to replace its current IGL.
EG is allegedly also looking towards valde as a likely replacement for RUSH.

The North American esports organization, Evil Geniuses (EG), following its massive expansion as part of 'Project Blueprint' seems ready to make the next big move with its main CS:GO roster.

The two Major winners, Jacky "Stewie2K" Yip and William "RUSH" Wierzba, could be on their way out of the active lineup according to a report by Blix.gg. Additionally, it seems that the two replacement players have also been shortlisted by EG.

Sanjar "neaLaN" İshakov and Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen, seem to be the alleged top candidates for the future captain of the team, the former currently playing for K23 and the latter sitting on the bench of Copenhagen Flames.

Further, Valdemar "valde" Vangså might also be making his way into the team after being sidelined from OG's active roster in May earlier this year.

Report: EG might bench Stewie2K and RUSH from its main CS:GO roster

Despite undergoing a heavy roster shuffle and bringing in the Major winning trio of Stewie2K, RUSH, and Timothy "autimatic" Ta, EG has failed to put up any significant performances this season while simultaneously failing to qualify for any tier-one tournaments.

This forced the organization to head into a different direction and resulted in 'Project Blueprint', under which EG signed two more North American rosters under its wing. However, its main CS:GO roster, now defunct for more than two months, was still a cause of concern and necessary changes needed to be made.

Stewie2K came under the radar after Paolo "EVY" Berbudeau (former assistant coach of EG) made some critical allegations against Stewie2K in an exclusive interview with 1pv.fr. This was followed by multiple rumors about him thinking of moving over to compete in Valorant, but no official statement on the matter has been made by the player so far.

An initial report had suggested that EG wanted to sign valde at the start of the 2022 season but the deal had fallen through, with the organization later settling for RUSH. Now that he is available and the team requires a change, it seems EG is keen on bringing him onboard.

Valde is currently a part of OG's inactive CS:GO roster

The main CS:GO roster for Evil Geniuses if this report comes true might look as follows,

  • Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte

  • Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov

  • Timothy "autimatic" Ta

  • Valdemar "valde" Vangså

  • Sanjar "neaLaN" İshakov / Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen [IGL]
