The 16-year-old who is currently trialing for Lynn Vision Gaming had a fantastic outing against G2 Esports at the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2021.
China's anti-addiction rules limit online gamers under the age of 18 to only three hours of gaming per week, only on Fridays, weekends, and public holidays.

The breakout CS:GO player from China, Lizhi "Starry" Ye, turned a lot of heads following his superb performance against G2 Esports at BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2021. His 1v5 ace on Vertigo during the second pistol round went viral across the CS:GO community, with many praising him to be the next big talent from Asia.

Despite possessing the required skills to go big and all the appreciation coming his way, the 16-year-old has come forward to say that he might be forced to retire from competing professionally for a couple of years. This is due to the recently implemented anti-addiction rules by China's video game regulator. The rules limit online gamers under the age of 18 to only three hours of gaming per week only on weekends (including Friday) and public holidays.

The anti-addiction rules implemented in China by their video game regulator came into effect from 1st September 2021, have become a huge obstacle for the Chinese CS:GO prodigy, Starry.

The talented rifler is currently on trial with the Chinese esports organization Lynn Vision Gaming, who had qualified for BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2021 after ViCi Gaming withdrew from the event to focus on IEM Fall 2021: Asia.

Starry had an excellent series against G2 Esports where he managed to secure a total of 56 frags across the three maps, managing an overall HLTV rating of 1.08 along with the highlight of the 1v5 pistol ace on Vertigo.

Though Lynn Vision Gaming lost the series '2-1', the fact that they managed to swipe a win on their map pick Vertigo, against the number five ranked CS:GO team in the world, was pretty huge in itself.

After the match, Starry who had received lots of appreciation and commendation for his gameplay went on state the following on the popular Chinese social media platform Bilibili,

Thank you so much for your support, everyone. I have never received so much acclaim in my life as today. I am really happy that we (Lynn Vision Gaming) managed to beat G2 on one map (Vertigo), and that I was able to show what I can do. Due to some 'speechless' restrictions, today's match should be my last one for the next two years. There's nothing I can do about it. So it's kind of a perfect final bow for me. Anyways I am really happy today. Really appreciate everyone's support.

As the new anti-addiction rules against video games prevent gamers below the age of 18 from playing more than three hours in a week, Starry who is still just 16-years-old is considering a possible retirement from the professional scene for the next two years.
