BLAST is all set to organize the final qualifying tournament for the current season, with the winner getting a chance to grab the last remaining spot in the upcoming World Final.

Some of the teams competing in this event have already cemented a spot for themselves in the eventual finals but that does not mean the competition is going to be any easier.

Format

Group Stage

  • The eight qualified teams will be split into two groups of four teams each.

  • Both groups will be following a double-elimination GSL format bracket.

  • Each and every group stage match will follow a best-of-three series.

  • The top three teams from each group will move on the playoffs.

    • Winners of both groups will directly advance to the Semifinals.

    • Second and third-placed teams will advance to the Quarterfinals.

Playoffs

  • The three qualifying teams will follow a single-elimination bracket.

  • Each and every playoff match will follow a best-of-three series.

  • The team standing at the end will be crowned champion and will proceed to compete in the World Finals.


Prize Pool

The tournament features a total prize pool of $425,000 USD which will be split between all the eight competing teams.

The participants will receive a portion of the prize pool depending on their overall positioning in the tournament.


Livestream

The tournament will be broadcasted live across multiple streaming platforms like YouTube and Twitch in three languages - English, Russian, and Chinese.


Out of the eight competing teams, four have already secured a slot for themselves in the BLAST Premier World Final 2023, which means that one out of the four remaining teams will be attaining the empty spot - Ninjas in Pyjamas, Astralis, Cloud9, and Complexity Gaming.
