The location for BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022 has been announced as Lisbon by the organizers of the tournament. The event which is scheduled to take place two months later in June will be hosted at the Altice Arena, a multi-purpose indoor arena that is amongst the largest in Europe and the biggest in Portugal.

The Altice Arena has a capacity of about 20,000 spectators which varies according to the activity that is going to take place at the venue. For concerts the maximum capacity is 20,100 people whereas for sporting events like futsal it is about 15,000 viewers.

This is the second BLAST tournament which will be taking place at the exact same venue. The last event organized in Lisbon was the BLAST Pro Series: Lisbon 2018 which featured a total prize pool of $250,000 USD (INR 1,91,19,188) and it was won by Astralis.

BLAST is returning to the largest city of Portugal after a period of more than three years with the BLAST Premier: Spring Finals Lisbon 2022, witnessing a 70% increase in the total prize pool of the tournament, an almost 34% increase in the number of participating teams, a brand new look, and definitely a lot more excitement.

So far only six teams have been confirmed for the Lisbon Spring Finals,

All these teams have directly qualified for the tournament following their win at the BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2022 which took place earlier this year in February. Two more teams will be qualifying for the tournament, one each from the European and American Showdown 2022, scheduled to take place from 27th April to 1st May.
