Anonymo Founder Claims All Antwerp Major Teams Will Get Player Signature Stickers
Valve reverts back to the old ways!
With the RMR (Regional Major Rankings) qualifiers of PGL Major Antwerp 2022 on the horizon, Mateusz "Sówek" Kowalczyk - Founder of Anonymo Esports has claimed that all the 24 teams that qualify for the Major will be receiving the coveted player signature stickers.
The statement by the Polish owner about Valve allegedly reverting back to its old method of issuing and releasing the player stickers has excited the CS:GO community.
An unusual decision was taken by Valve last year during the PGL Major Stockholm 2021 as autographed stickers were only available for members of the top eight CS:GO teams, the ones that managed to reach the playoffs. The developers had received a lot of community-wide backlash at that point in time, but things could return back to normal once again starting this year onwards.
All CS:GO teams participating in the Antwerp Major might get player signature stickers
All RMR qualifiers for the various regions are now completed as 52 teams are now set to faceoff in a LAN setup at Bucharest, Romania. A recent claim that was made by Anonymo Esport's founder might act as a motivational boost for all the teams competing for those 24 spots.
According to a claim made by Kowalczyk, players of his team were allegedly instructed by Valve to provide their signature templates in advance. This is actually quite early for the developers to be requesting player signatures, as the 24 teams set to compete in the Antwerp Major have not even been shortlisted so far.
He further said that "The teams that win the swiss will already have them in-game," this basically means that the 24 teams qualifying through the RMR tournaments into the PGL Major Stockholm 2022 will be receiving the player signature stickers.
The player signature sticker capsule will likely be released for purchase ahead of the Antwerp Major if the above actually turns out to be true, which is unlike last year when they were released after the Stockholm Major had concluded.
