Highlights
The Brazilian trio of FURIA, Imperial, MIBR along with Complexity dominated the first day of PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR.
Both EG and Liquid started off with a defeat and made a comeback in the second round to go '1-1' at the end of Day 1.
Two teams will qualify for the Majors while two teams will be eliminated from the RMR tournament today.

The first day of the PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR (Regional Major Rankings) came to an end yesterday on 11th April with FURIA Esports, Imperial Esports, MIBR, and Complexity Gaming going '2-0' following dominating performances.

While most of the Brazilian teams dominated, top North American organizations like Evil Geniuses (EG) and Team Liquid had to settle for a '1-1' scoreline after facing defeats in the opening round.

The four teams who are currently on the brink of elimination are Leviatan, 9z Team, Bad News Bears, and Team oNe eSports. Two of these teams will be walking away from the Major qualifier today after taking on each other in a best-of-three series.

The Brazilian trio of Imperial, FURIA, and MIBR have been really impressive so far. All three teams have gone '2-0' to reach the final step of the Major qualifier with Imperial leading the overall points table at the moment, highlighting a +14 round difference along with a Buchholz Score of 0.

The fourth team to join them in the '2-0' bracket is Complexity Gaming, who has been the most impressive team from the North American region so far. Complexity will be going up against FURIA later today in a bid to qualify for the Antwerp Major while also reaching a step closer in securing the solo 'Legends Status' spot.

Two of these four teams will be moving further while the other two will drop down to the '2-1' bracket, attempting once again to qualify in the next round.

Complexity is the only North American CS:GO team in the '2-0' bracket

The first round witnessed a huge upset as 00 Nation defeated Liquid with a '16-8' scoreline sending them down to the '0-1' bracket. Though Liquid managed to win its next match against oNe eSports without breaking a sweat, it is a little worrisome to see one of the finest from North America slip in such a manner.

Though there is little to no confidence in EG, the team took a close loss against paiN Gaming in the opener and followed it up with a win against 9z to reach the '1-1' bracket.

Other teams in the middle bracket are 00 Nation, Isurus, Caetano, Case, Party Astronauts, and paiN. These teams are neither close to qualifying nor about to get eliminated.

Finally, the teams that failed to register any wins on the first day are 9z, BNB, oNe eSports, and Leviatan. These four teams are in the '0-2' bracket and two of them will be eliminated today, as the other two continue ahead to face another eliminator tomorrow.

It will be interesting to see which six teams make it through the LAN qualifiers and more importantly who gets the single legend spot.
