European esports organization, Alliance has struck a collaboration with Boberg Esports to take its first step into competitive CS:GO with an academy team called 'The Alliance: Boberg'. Alliance aims to compete in local grassroots level tournaments along with this roster in events like Regionalserien Norr, Prime League Division 2, and other autumn high school events.

Boberg Esports is sort of like a school for upcoming esports athletes, which is currently in its sixth year of operation. They work along with Bobergsgymnasiet with a goal "to train the esports players of the future," one that combines raw talents, high work ethic, and a vast knowledge bank.

Alliance collaborates with Swedish esports school to enter CS:GO with an academy team

Alliance, an esport organization most popularly known for its Dota 2 roster has now entered the junior division of competitive CS:GO with an academy team consisting of the following players,

Oliver "zilco" Hoglund - IGL and Captain

Timmy "Sn0w" Bruhn

Ruben "thorns" Thornberg

Mattias "mxttias" Lindbom

Filip "blixt" Hortlin

This roster will be playing under the banner of 'The Alliance: Boberg' and is set to compete in upcoming tournaments like Regionalserien Norr, Prime League Division 2, and other autumn high school events.

Talking about this collaboration and the organization's decision of having started off with an academy CS:GO roster instead of signing a mainstream senior team, Kelly Ong Xiao Wei - Chief Strategy Officer Alliance said that,

Alliance has a strong tradition of developing up and coming players into champions of the now and future. Together with Boberg we would be able to support, explore and redefine youth development in modern esports. This will be the first of many youth development programs we will be participating in and we can be proud of continuing our tradition of supporting player development and also grassroots esports.
Kelly Ong Xiao Wei - Chief Srategy Officer at Alliance

Boberg Esports will be supporting Alliance's academy roster and through its massive experience will be able to improve the education system by a few more steps.

They will be focussing on the team's game training, mental training, and physical training, while also teaching them a lot about esports outside of the server. This is to ensure that they have a more long-term and successful career in esports.

It will be interesting to see how this team develops and improves alongside many top-tier esports organizations already operating with successful academy rosters.
