KennyS Talks About How He Got Benched From G2 Esports

KennyS recently revealed how he had actually received the news about him being dropped from G2 Esports active CS:GO roster. According to him, it was G2 Esports’ CS:GO team manager Jérôme “NiaK” Sudries who had called him to inform about a meeting involving him and the team’s coach Damien “maLeK“ Marcel, but had not revealed the reason for it on the call which kennyS felt was a bit unusual.

He goes on the explain the situation in detail by stating, “I knew what was happening and that evening I was not feeling good, to be honest, I was even feeling pretty depressed because that is not good news. But you know I got to talk to my friends and when I got home afterward, I just figured out that it was actually the best move for me and for them.”

KennyS continued further by explaining that he was not able to give his all to the team and this would have restricted him from reaching the desired level of performance. A big reason behind this was the change in his playstyle as his teammates wanted him to play in a certain manner, which made him feel kind of lost at times.

“I just think that there was too much happening. Like I stayed in G2 for almost 5 years as an active player, and I am proud of it. G2 is a massive organization and I have been the main player of it for so long, and that is quite the achievement in itself. So, I’m proud of it but sometimes I feel like it was needed for me in order to see something else.”

He concluded by saying that despite it being tough news for him, it was necessary as he wanted to improve and a change was necessary, After a few hours of him being benched, kennyS had started to feel relieved and he does not feel bad about it anymore.
