North American CS:GO player Tarik "tarik" Celik who recently stepped down from Evil Geniuses active roster has come forward with an update regarding his future. The 25-year-old is ready to take up streaming full-time for the time being, as he went on to say that “If I do enjoy streaming full time, then I'll continue”. However, the talented rifler also has a backup plan in place in case full-time streaming does not work out for him, as he spoke about a potential switch to Valorant. Tarik was quite open about the fact that a possible return to competing in CS:GO was not a feasible option at the moment, as “there isn’t much choice in NA”.

Tarik to take up streaming full-time

One of the best CS:GO players from North America tarik who is a former EG player, has been out of the competitive circuit for 2 weeks now. Giving an update on his situation tarik confirmed that he was attempting to be a full-time streamer for the time being, and see how things work out. If he enjoys streaming and derives satisfaction from his work, then he will continue doing it. Otherwise, we might see him switching over to compete in Valorant.

Talking about the North American CS:GO scene tarik said that, “Relocating to Europe for CS isn't really in the cards, and there isn't much choice in NA. My options are either playing competitive Valorant or streaming, so I'm going to pursue streaming for the time being.”

There is truth to what tarik had to say because the North American scene has seen a massive decline since the competitive Counter-Strike circuit moved online. With teams and players moving to Europe to continue a career in CS:GO, tarik does not feel comfortable doing the same.

Tarik talks about potential Valorant switch

The next best thing according to him is to compete in Valorant, as the title is booming in North America with a lot of former Counter-Strike players dominating the circuit. Tarik would definitely be a high profile signing if he decides to move over, having a ton of experience as he has played with top esports organizations like OpTic Gaming, Cloud9, MIBR, NRG Esports, and Evil Geniuses.

Tarik is also a one-time CS:GO Major champion, winning the ELEAGUE Major: Boston 2018 along with Cloud9. They are the only Counter-Strike team from North America to ever win this title and he was the MVP of that tournament, which speaks volumes about his potential and talent.

It will be interesting to see how his full-time streaming career proceeds, with tarik already having started on Twitch. Also, if he finally switches to Valorant which organization do you think will sign him, could we see EG entering the new title with him leading the roster?
