Danish star AWPer dev1ce leaving Astralis to sign a three-year contract with Ninjas in Pyjamas has shaken the entire CS:GO community. The shock move was revealed earlier today and there has been a huge uproar ever since. Of course, everyone had an idea that Astralis were thinking of making some possible changes, but no one expected or presumed that dev1ce would be the one moving out of the squad. The four-time Major winner is a huge acquisition for NIP and will be debuting with his new team in the upcoming Flashpoint Season 3, which is the first European RMR event of 2021.

Dev1ce was one of the founding members of the current Astralis CS:GO lineup, leaving the team after more than 5 years having won a total of 4 Majors during their time together. So without a doubt, it was bound to be an emotional affair, as all his teammates, their coach, and the organization itself came forward with kind words and messages for one of the best Counter-Strike players in the world.

Magisk wished him the best going forward, referring to him as a brother while stating “Thanks for being such a great human being and friend throughout (the ) good and bad times”. Gla1ve also shared similar sentiments stating that “You can be proud, we can all be proud of what we have achieved together. I understand you, and I wish you good luck in NIP”

Both dupreeh and Xyp9x also shared short messages, wishing dev1ce the best for his future and cherishing their journey together. Even Bubzkji, who is the newest member of the Astralis roster came forward to say that, “It’s been a pleasure to have been able to call you my teammate”.

The Danish organization Astralis dedicated a whole video to one of their longest-standing and most successful player while trending ‘#deardev1ce’ on Twitter. But this was not enough, so they also shared some of the best plays from his time on Astralis, and it is truly a collection worth seeing a thousand times.
