Fun Plus Phoenix’s time with Chris "chrisJ" de Jong has come to an end as the two parties were unable to reach an agreement on a deal. FPX who had acquired the former GODSENT lineup and signed ChrisJ on a loan from mousesports to complete their CS:GO roster, has now acquired Miikka "suNny" Kemppi as a stand-in for the next 2 CS:GO tournaments - Pinnacle Cup and ESL Pro League Season 13. With this, ChrisJ has once again returned to mousesports bench as FPX states that it will continue to try out different players for the vacant slot, but in the meanwhile suNny will be helping them out.

FPX’s General Manager - Petar “peca” Marković via Twitter had said that, "Unfortunately, we could not make a mutual agreement with chrisJ that works for both parties on time, and that’s why we decided to try out another player ".

Mousesports had made a tough decision last month when they had to let go of both chrisJ and Finn "karrigan" Andersen. Luckily, chrisJ was immediately picked up by FPX on loan but after slightly more than a month his stay has come to an end, as both parties were unable to reach a satisfactory agreement.

The 30-year-old dutch rifler and in-game leader had played for mousesports for 8 years before he was benched to make way for the Danish AWPer Frederik "acoR" Gyldstrand. After his departure from the active lineup, ChrisJ went on to play for the new organization FPX who had entered CS:GO for the second time after a shaky start.

In their short time together, the FPX lineup achieved successful results with a runner up finish in DreamHack Open January: Europe and a first place finish at Snow Sweet Snow 1. But despite the promising results chrisJ is parting ways with the lineup right before they are set to play in the ESL Pro League Season 13. He is being replaced by former ENCE rifler suNny, who will also be acting as their IGL in the upcoming tournaments.

suNny was recently released from his contract with ENCE after staying on the organization’s bench for 2 months. The finn returned to the organization for the 4th time in 2019 and had a 16 month stint before ENCE decided to bench most of their players, including sunNy to do a complete roster overhaul.
