  • Chinese esports organization TIGER has parted ways with their Mongolian CS:GO team.
  • TIGER accomplished notable results in some important Asian tournaments throughout 2020, going against the likes of TYLOO and ViCi.
  • The players will continue to play as a team together and are currently searching for a new organization to sign them.

Chinese esports organization TIGER has parted ways with their Mongolian CS:GO roster. The Organization was founded in March 2020 and signed their CS:GO team shortly after. Now almost a year later, the organization which at one point of time were poised to sign international CS:GO stars Owen "smooya" Butterfield and Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer are left without a CS:GO team. The news comes from former TIGER players who informed HLTV about this decision. They also mentioned that the players will continue to stick together while looking for a new organization to pick them up for the 2021 competitive circuit.

TIGER acquired the Mongolian CS:GO team AUGUST in March 2020 and since then have accomplished some notable results. Despite facing stiff competition from both TYLOO and ViCi Gaming, TIGER managed to finish first in some important Asian CS:GO tournaments like, ESL One: Road To Rio - Asia, Weibo Cup Asia Professional Championship, and ESEA Season 35 Open: Asia-Pacific. Finishing the year with a second place finish at the Dreamhack Masters Winter 2020 Asia was the cherry on top, as the team performed quite well through a rough 2020.

Between the highs there were some low points for the team as well. Between their victory at Road to Rio and ESEA Season 35, the team faced inconsistent results and a series of poor performances, resulting in the exit of Bold “ncl” Batsuh along with their most experienced player Erdenetsogt "erkaSt" Gantulga - the original creator of the AUGUST lineup.

They were quickly replaced by Boldbaatar “rate” Tengis and Sodbileg “cool4st” Batbaatar, but it was a short-lived stint for the latter who was replaced at the start of 2021 with the explosive 21-year-old rifler Uuganbayar "neuz" Nyam-Otgon.

Unfortunately for the team, despite kicking off 2021 with a runners-up finish at Funspark Rivals Pre-Season their time with TIGER has come to an end and they will no longer play under the organization. Their shaky performance at eXTREMESLAND Festival 2020: East Asia does not seem to be the reason behind this huge decision. However, the Mongolian roster has decided to continue playing together as a team and have no plans of going their separate ways.

In a statement to HLTV, dobu mentioned that ”Now our goal is to become a stable No.1 team in Asia and also become a strong team that can compete against the best teams in the world. We are now searching for a new organization that will help us compete on the international stage and we can be reached at dobu1337@gmail.com. We would also like to thank all our fans that support us."
