- Legendary German esports organization SK Gaming teases return to competitive CS:GO.
- If SK Gaming actually returns to CS:GO, they would be coming back to the title after a period of more than 2 years.
- CS:GO community thinks that if SK Gaming actually returns, they might probably sign the former MIBR lineup.
German esports organization SK Gaming that had stepped down from competitive CS:GO in June 2018, teased a return to Counter-Strike through a cryptic Portuguese message. The last proper CS:GO team which the organization had operated was an all-Brazilian lineup, from 2016 to 2018. During this time the organization had shot to fame especially in Brazil as they had managed to win a CS:GO Major - ESL One: Cologne 2016, putting the South American country on the map as a serious CS:GO competing nation. If their return actually turns out to be true, SK Gaming will be stepping back after a period of more than 2 years.

SK Gaming teases return to competitive CS:GO
Legendary esports organization SK Gaming has a combined experience of more than a decade when it comes to operating Counter-Strike rosters. They were previously active in the title from 2002 to 2018, after which they decided to step back from it.
The German organization on 17th Feb dropped a massive hint about their potential return to Counter-Strike through a cryptic Tweet in Portuguese stating, “Young people nowadays only want one thing: SK BACK TO CS:GO”. If this turns out to be true, they will be returning to the Valve owned tactical first-person shooter after more than 2 years, possibly with another completely Brazilian lineup.

As per the CS:GO community, if this tease materializes into something solid then most probably SK Gaming might be signing the current inactive MIBR duo of Alencar “trk” Rossato and Vito “kNgV-” Giuseppe, along with other Brazilian CS:GO players who had temporarily represented MIBR towards the end of 2020.
The rumored CS:GO lineup that SK Gaming might sign if they actually return to competitive Counter-Strike is as follows,
- Vito “kNgV-” Giuseppe [IGL]
- Alencar “trk” Rossato
- Lucas “LUCAS1” Teles
- Leonardo “leo_drk “ de Oliveira
- Vinicius “vsm” Moreira
- Raphael “cogu” Camargo [Coach]
MIBR had previously played with this exact same lineup in their last 3 CS:GO tournaments of 2020 - BLAST Premier: Fall 2020 Regular Season, BLAST Premier: Fall 2020 Showdown, and Flashpoint Season 2. The team showed a lot of promise and were performing much better than their previous lineup, that had really fallen down hard. But due to multiple internal conflicts with the MIBR management, things fell apart and MIBR was left without a team.
However, if SK Gaming is aiming to pick this particular lineup they would be shelling out a lot of money as most of these players are still under contract with an organization. A few were also of the opinion that this was just a casual bait and would definitely not result in anything. It will be interesting to see what SK Gaming does from here on out.
