  • Mousesports has reportedly found suitable replacements for both Karrigan and ChrisJ.
  • The two players who have been picked by mousesports as the possible replacements are dexter and acoR.
  • Karrigan had earlier asked for more time to make a decision about his contract while ChrisJ's performance had not been up to mark in 2020.

The German organization mousesports is reportedly ready to replace both Finn "karrigan" Andersen and Chris "chrisJ" de Jong from their CS:GO lineup with suitable replacements, before the start of the 2021 competitive circuit.

Frederik "acoR" Gyldstrand from MAD Lions and Christopher "dexter" Nong who is currently the in-game leader of Renegades might be the two new players to complete the mousesports roster, according to a report by HLTV.

It was earlier reported that karrigan was still deciding about his future and had asked mousesports for a bit more time to give a final decision about extending his contract with them or not. With mousesports now eyeing dexter as a possible replacement, it seems karrigan might be on his way out with chances of once again reuniting with his former team FaZe Clan.

As for ChrisJ who is the longest standing member on the mousesports lineup, his individual performance in 2020 was not at all up to the mark. He had an overall rating of just 0.91 with an impact rating of 0.85, which makes him a liability for the lineup in his current position. With the team looking to turn things around in 2021, they are thinking of bringing in the Danish AWPer acoR over from MAD Lions.

Mousesports for quite some time has struggled with the absence of a reliable AWPer which they would effectively solve with the addition of acoR, who played a big role in MAD Lions victory in the first season of Flashpoint. Dexter was an unexpected pick, which might have been their coach Torbjorn “mithR“ Nyborg’s suggestion as he previously coached Renegades for about four months.

Coming off a rough 2020 where mousesports started off with a win at ICE Challenge 2020, the team failed to carry on the momentum as they did not win any other CS:GO tournament in the remaining year. With a lot of transfers taking place before the 2021 season kicks off, it will be interesting to see the final lineup that mousesports comes up with.

If the changes take place the mousesports lineup will be as follows,

  • Robin "ropz" Kool
  • David "frozen" Čerňanský
  • Aurimas "Bymas" Pipiras
  • Frederik "acoR" Gyldstrand
  • Christopher "dexter" Nong
  • Torbjørn "mithR" Nyborg [Coach]
