Team Liquid has officially announced the highly anticipated signing of the two-time Major champion Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo. The 29-year-old Brazilian star will be replacing Canadian rifler Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken on Liquid’s active roster and will be seen in action at the upcoming BLAST Premier: Global Final 2020, scheduled to take place from 19th - 24th January.

FalleN Joins Team Liquid To Replace Twistzz
Team Liquid has signed FalleN as their primary AWPer but it seems that the Brazilian might not be taking over the captaincy of the team just yet, this means that Jacky “Stewie2K” Yip will most probably continue to act as their IGL.
With two more players Keith "NAF" Markovic and Jake "Stewie2K" Yip who can handle the AWP pretty well, the North American organization looks well equipped to try out different strategies and plays.
FalleN could be the perfect replacement for Twistzz who departed the organization right after IEM Global Challenge 2020 which was the last CS:GO tournament to take place in 2020. He packs a plethora of experience and talent, who can help around with both the scoped bolt action sniper and crucial mid-round calls.
The Brazilian seems to be happy with this decision as he goes on to describe it as “an amazing accomplishment”. He is quite confident of returning to competitive CS:GO after an absence of more than four months and feels “that in Liquid I will be able to accomplish a lot of things.”
“I think that what I bring to the team are my capabilities with the AWP. Liquid are known for not having a specific AWPer for a long time and still succeeding, but it feels like the team was looking for someone to fulfil that role, and I am very happy that they chose me to do that."
Team liquid right not wants FalleN to just focus on AWPing but the Brazilian has said that he can also help the team “understand a lot about the game” as he has been playing it for so and this is a big advantage when it comes to adapting the team’s gameplay according to “the meta and how the game is evolving”.
