  • It has been reported that former Team Liquid rifler Twistzz might be in discussions with FaZe Clan.
  • Twistzz in his farewell Tweet had mentioned that he would be moving to Europe.
  • An earlier report had suggested that Karrigan might be returning to FaZe Clan once again.

Former Team Liquid rifler Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken announced his departure from the North American organization a few days back, right after they lost the grand final of IEM Global Challenge 2020 to Astralis. Within a week of his departure reports have started to come in that the Canadian might be in negotiations with FaZe Clan who are actively seeking a permanent fifth player to join their roster.

Report: Twistzz In Negotiations With FaZe Clan

The 21-year-old Canadian rifler while announcing his departure from Team Liquid had stated that he would be moving to Europe in the future. This seems to align with the report which states that “One of the main candidates to replace Olofmeister is Twistzz.”

2020 has been a hard year on the North American CS:GO scene as the main competition has slowly shifted towards Europe. This has resulted in two esports organizations walking away from CS:GO, 100 Thieves followed by Chaos Esports Club. Though Team Liquid is still continuing to compete and even held a bootcamp in Europe recently, it seems Twistzz is ready to move ahead and explore more opportunities with European teams.

FaZe Clan has been in a serious need for a fifth permanent player ever since Nikola “NiKo” Kovac moved to G2 Esports. They continued to compete through the remainder of the 2020 season with Olofmeister as a stand-in but with the new season just around the corner, FaZe Clan has to settle their roster and give them time to play together.

The only problem is an earlier report had suggested that FaZe Clan were in talks with Finn “karrigan” Andersen who has previously played with the organization from 2016-2018. He is considered to be one of the best in-game leaders (IGL) in the world, something that FaZe Clan is in dire need of.

On top of that in a recent Brazilian podcast, the current IGL of FaZe Clan Marcelo “coldzera” David specifically said that the team is searching for a Captain that would lead them through the 2021 circuit.

At this moment nothing is set in stone and all the reports need to be taken with a pinch of salt unless coming from a very reliable source. It will be interesting to see who FaZe Clan picks up as their fifth to finally complete their roster.
