Brazilian star player Fernando “fer” Alvarenga who returned to competitive Counter-Strike after a break of three months put up a daunting performance along with BOOM Esports at FiReLEAGUE - Global Finals over the course of this weekend. The 29-year-old was in top form as he finished the local tournament with an overall rating of 1.36 across the four maps played.

Fer who was standing in for the Brazilian organization BOOM Esports in place of Joao “felps” Vasconcellos came back to the competitive scene in style, finishing the local tournament as the second best player right behind his teammate Ricardo "boltz" Prass.

BOOM Esports who are now on a nine tournament win streak did not drop a single match in the course of the tournament, winning four consecutive maps to hand Furious Gaming and Isurus back-to-back defeats.

BOOM Esports wins FiReLEAGUE - Global FinalsFer was in great shape as he played a phenomenal lurking role and finished right on top with a K-D difference of +24 and 1.36 as his overall rating.

His best performance in the tournament came in the first map on Inferno against Furious Gaming where he finished with a 21-7 performance, an ADR (Average Damage per Round) of 96.2 and a rating of 1.77, giving BOOM the best start they could have asked for.

Till now he has not been confirmed as a fully signed player by the Brazilian organization which has kept many guessing if he would be joining them or not, as there have been rumours about Fer joining Brazilian legend Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo in a new lineup which could either see them going to Europe or make a new one in Brazil itself.
