The CS:GO community had literally gone bonkers discussing this particular move ever since the initial reports came out on 18th September. After more than a month the transfer has finally taken place as NiKo leaves FaZe Clan to join G2 Esports, having spent more than 3.5 years with the North American organization since joining them in February 2017.

As expected from a G2 announcement, the main reveal was hyped up with a lot of cryptic tweets being sent out by NiKo himself who changed his Twitter handle from ‘@fazeniko’ to ‘@G2NiKo’ followed by the big reveal itself which features a kidnapping along with NiKo’s cousin brother Nemanja “huNter-” Kovac.

It was earlier reported that French rifler Francois "AmaNEk" Delaunay would be the one making space for NiKo on G2’s active roster. However, the organization has not announced any such changes along with the main announcement so it remains to be seen what plans does the team have in mind concerning their lineup.

FaZe Clan released a video bidding farewell to one of the most important players on their lineup, he was responsible for transforming this team into one of the best CS:GO team in the world that was a title contender. He was their ace, someone on whom the team constantly depended upon.

NiKo though a bit emotional said that he is excited to join G2 Esports and play alongside his cousin and rest of the team. He also stated that “I'm coming to this lineup with the goal to bring them back to the top and make sure to stay there.” With this move, G2 Esports currently has six signed players on their lineup with the upcoming match against FURIA at BLAST Premier: Fall 2020 Regular Season marking the debut of their new roster.
