Liquid and G2 Denied a Chance to Become The First Ever Two Time DreamHack Masters Champions
- No CS:GO team has ever won a DreamHack Masters tournament twice.
- Both, Team Liquid and G2 Esports had a chance of becoming the first teams ever to achieve this feat.
- Their respective losses in the finals mean that there are 11 unique DreamHack Masters winners now.
DreamHack Masters Spring 2020 which concluded yesterday for both Europe and North America witnessed BIG and FURIA walking away as the winners of the two regions, respectively. As a result, the DreamHack Masters tournament series since its inception back in 2016 has never witnessed a repeat winner ever.
There have been a total of 11 DH Masters tournament since 2016, considering DH Masters Spring 2020 for all the regions as separate individual tournaments, and though it might come off as a surprise there is no Counter-Strike team in the world right now who has won a DH Masters tournament twice.
Each and every tournament has witnessed the trophy being lifted by a new and unique team. Here is a list of all the 11 tournaments and their respective winners.

In this edition of the DH Masters Spring 2020 due to the global health situation, the whole tournament was shifted to an online format with regional tournaments being played across Europe, North America, Asia, and Oceania.
As a result, the first-ever Asian team to win a DH Masters tournament turned out to be none other than Tyloo whereas the first team from Oceania to win the event was Renegades. Apart from this, both Team Liquid and G2 Esports had a chance to become the first teams to ever win a DH Masters tournament twice, but none of them was able to achieve this feat.
It is quite astonishing to see that no team has managed to win two DH Masters tournament since 2016. Even Astralis during their dominant 2018 run failed to achieve this feat by coming second in the closely contested finals of DH Masters Stockholm, following a defeat to North after securing a victory previously at DH Masters Marseille in the same year.
