Perfect World Announces $100,000 PAL Summer 2020 as the Asia Summer RMR Tournament

- Perfect World will be hosting the Summer RMR Tournament for Asia.
- The tournament consisting of a total of 10 teams is set to take place from 24th June - 19th July with a $100,000 Prizepool.
- Perfect World will also host the Fall RMR Tournaments for both Asia and Oceania in the future as well.
Perfect World has announced that they will be hosting the Asian Regional Major Ranking (RMR) tournament for the Summer. The second Major qualifier for the Asian region will be taking place from 24th June - 19th July, featuring a total of ten teams along with a $100,000 prize pool.
Out of the ten participating teams, eight teams have been selected through the current Asian RMR rankings while one team each will be joining them through the Chinese and the Asian qualifiers.

The Major qualifier tournament which is being called Perfect World Asia League Summer 2020 will be played online with the event being divided into the regular season followed by the playoffs.
The regular season will witness a long round-robin league format where all teams will play each other once. Each match will be a three-game series with the top eight teams making their way through to the playoffs, featuring a single-elimination format with every match being a best-of-three game.

Teams looking to make it to the main event from the Chinese and the SEA regions can go and register themselves on the official website, the last date to register for the tournament is 16th June. The Chinese open qualifiers are scheduled to take place from 18th - 19th June whereas the Asian open qualifiers will be played from 20th - 21st June.

Apart from this Perfect World has also taken up the responsibility to host the Fall RMR tournament, not only for the Asian region but for the Oceania region as well. With this, all the regions except for Oceania and South America have announced their Summer RMR Tournaments, as the two regions above are being omitted from the Summer RMR calendar.
